A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Adegbola Dominic, on Thursday said his primary reason for joining the race was to give good governance to Lagosians which has eluded them for years.
Speaking against the backdrop of allegation that he was contesting in order to get a federal appointment, Dominic, a medical doctor, said those peddling the rumour are daydreamers, adding that he was determined to be the first candidate to deliver Lagos to PDP.
“Some people said we should not be taken serious because all we want is federal appointment or be a member of a board.
“They should wake up from their sleep. I am contesting not because I want to become a member of a board or be given a ministerial position, but because I am determine to deliver for PDP in general election.”
Dominic, who was received by party faithful during his tour of local governments across the state, urged the party members to begin sensitising Lagosians now on the need to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015.
Also speaking, Chairman of PDP in Mushin Local Government area, Tunde Fabiyi, described Dominic as a tested politician who possesses the requisite experience needed to give the party to victory at the poll.
“Dr. Dominic is man of his word, a man of integrity and man of hope. He is a versatile and well-experienced politician that we party members in Mushin can identify with.
“He is a man of integrity and the best among all the PDP aspirants,” Fabiyi said
