PDP EX-COUNCILLORS FORUM HAILS SUPREME COURT FOR SAVING BAYELSA STATE.

— Says the call for the review of Supreme Court verdict in Bayelsa was unnecessary.
The National PDP Ex-Councillors forum has commended the Supreme Court of Nigeria for standing in defense of the people of Bayelsa State through its verdict in the governorship election in the state.
The group in a statement signed by its Deputy National Coordinator,  Chief Hon Prince Weli-Wosu JP,  said that asking the Supreme Court to reverse its decision in Bayelsa  State was like asking the police to free a thief that was caught red handed in the act of stealing.
Prince Weli-Wosu lauded the apex court for not bowing to the pressure from agents of the APC led Federal government to reverse it’s decision in Bayelsa State in favour of the APC after the party presented a deputy governorship candidate with multiple and conflicting identity.
The group however stated categorically clear that the case in Imo State where the APC candidate Senator Hope Uzodinma, who came fourth in the governorship election was used to replace the PDP candidate Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha who emerged winner in the election was totally different from the case in Bayelsa State where the APC candidate,  David Lyon was sacked for presenting a running mate with conflicting and fraudulent documents and replaced with the PDP candidate, Senator Douye Diri, who came second in the election, since the Constitution of Nigeria doesn’t permit independent candidacy.
The statement further said that the apex court was deceived in the Imo State governorship election case, and urge the respected court to carefully revisit its decision in order not to set a bad precedence in Nigeria.
Signed:
Chief Hon Prince Weli-wosu JP.
Deputy National Coordinator,
National PDP Ex-Councillors Forum.
