… Says he wants to ensure there is decency in the practice
The Ag. Managing Director of Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency (RISAA) Chief Hon. Anthony Okeah Esq, has reiterated its commitment to standardize outdoor signages and bring sanity to advertisement practice in Rivers State.
in an interview on Rhythm 93.7fm “Talk of the Town” with Segun Owolabi.
” The agency frowns at illegal practice and those who have not registered with the agency have no business in the industry,” he said .
Hon. Anthony Okeah has appealed to Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to caution Churches who go about putting lamp post on electric pole and banners of all manners without permission from the Agency.
he said ” as a regulatory body, there are lay down rules and regulations, what the agency do is to make sure people conform to the rules.
” for illegal structures, the law specify that precisely in Section 1, Sub section 2c of the law establishing RISAA, the agency has the powers to acquire and to dispose of all movable and immovable property.”
Hon Anthony Okeah said : ” The beautification project on the CFC Bridge is a Corporate Social Responsibility project by STRADA MEDIA, an Outdoor Advertisement Company in partnership with the Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency (RISAA).
He commended the state judiciary for assigning specific courts that will deal with revenue and other aspects of RISAA operations.
