Fear God in election conduct, AD tells INEC

Less than a week to the governorship election in Osun State, the Alliance for Democracy (AD) has charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fear God in the way it handles the election and those of 2015.

The party urged INEC to ensure that the Osun State governorship election is conducted with the utmost transparency and efficiency, to give it the needed credibility.

Rising from the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Ibadan at the weekend, the party raised a fresh alarm over the state of insecurity across the country, especially in the North-east geopolitical zone.

It maintained that “insurgency calls for sober reflection and concerted actions by all patriotic stake holders in the Nigeria project”.

At the meeting presided over by the party’s National Chairman, Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, the party emphasized its determination to give President Goodluck Jonathan “unflinching support” in the on-going fight against insurgency
