Ado Ekiti—A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in
Ekiti State, Mr. Olusegun Osinkolu, has called for the overhauling of
the machinery of the party in the state in view of its poor
performance during the June 21 governorship election in the state.
Osinkolu, who was the former chairman of the state-owned,
Fountain Holdings Investment Company, said this was the only
panacea for good outings in the 2015 general elections.
Speaking with the newsmen in Ado Ekiti yesterday, Osinkolu blamed
Jide Awe-led state executive of the party for its poor outing.
According to him, “There should be restructuring across board, the
party cannot afford to approach the next elections with the same
strategy, so the leadership must be changed. I am quite happy
because our congress will be coming soon and I am confident that
it will throw up credible people that can bring radical change to the

administration because both the party leadership and government
were fused into one. APC must learn how to separate the two
because it will make things difficult for party members.”

who ordinarily ought to run to the party to seek redress. Mistakes
have been made but those mistakes as things stand today,
