The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra State chapter, will, on December 3, hold primary elections for candidates aspiring to the state Houses of Assembly.
This is even as the party has concluded its ward delegates congresses across the 326 wards in the 21 local government areas of the state. The state has 4, 653 polling units.
Fillers coming in across the state showed that there was a free, fair and transparent election including Anaocha Local Government Area anticipated to have some hitches sequel to initial alarm raised over the delegate’s election.
But there are one or two complaints here and there across the 21 local government areas in the state, as some alleged snatching of party machinery while others alleged buying over of the electorates.
Daily Independent got information that the traditional ruler of Adazi-Ani and the President General allegedly asked their sons and daughters to vote for their own son, even when they are not supposed to do so.
At Anaocha Constituency 1, the member representing the constituency in the state Assembly, Ebere Ejiofor, said there are issues emanating from the delegates election that needed to be looked into.
But investigations into the delegates’ election in Anaocha Constituency 1 showed that the party chairman in Anaocha, Ifeanyi Orji, allowed a free and transparent conduct without interference.
