Anambra Guber: Physically Challenged Persons Endorse Ubah

The governorship aspiration of the Capital Oil and Gas boss, Dr Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah has received a boost as the physically challenged persons in Anambra State have thrown their weight behind him to emerge successor to incumbent Governor Peter Obi.

The national president of association for Comprehensive Empowerment of Nigerians with Disability(ASCEND), Chief Cosmas Ikechukwu Okoli accompanied by hundreds of members of the association on Thursday at a press conference in Awka, the state capital, declared that they had endorsed the Labour Party(LP) candidate in the November 16 state governorship election.

According to them, Ubah is the only governorship candidate who has articulated a comprehensive programme to give the physically challenged persons in the state an equal opportunity with other segments of the state.

They further stated that Ubah, in addition to promising to enact a law to protect the rights of people with disability, create agency for the disability affairs, assured that a physically challenged person would be appointed to man the agency.
