Aspirants under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday thronged the party’s national headquarters in Abuja to submit their elective forms ahead of today’s deadline for the submission.
The PDP had fixed today, November 8, as deadline for the submission of forms for all aspirants.
Speaking after submitting his guber forms, the deputy governor of Plateau State, Amb. Ignatius Longjan, declared that his political ambition to be governor of the state does not lie in the hands of any individual, including his boss, Governor Jonah Jang but in the hands of God and the people of Plateau State.
Also speaking after submitting his forms, a governorship aspirant from Sokoto State and former minister of transport, Alh Yusuf Suleiman, promised to ensure that the state becomes self-sustaining if he is elected governor come 2015.
On his part, former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, declared that although the All Progressives Congress (APC) was in government, it does not have political power.
Sen Chris Anyanwu submitted her guber forms for the Imo State election but faulted the recent ward congresses in the state and demanded that a fresh list be drafted.
