The Zamfara Government has established a centre for the training of teachers, as part of its effort to enhance teaching and learning in its schools.
Alhaji Aminu Kanoma, the Director of the centre, announced this in Gusau on Friday in an interview.
He said the centre would improve quality of teachers that would contribute to effective primary education delivery in the state.
Kanoma said that the centre had the capacity to accommodate between 400 and 500 participants at a time.
He further said that the centre was the first established to train teachers in the state since its creation in 1996.
The director stated that the centre had 12 classrooms to accommodate between 35 and 40 trainees and equipped with ICT and Internet facilities.
He added that the centre had hostel rooms for men and women trainees and chalets to play host to six facilitators.
”The centre was provided with a large auditorium with the capacity of accommodating 300 to 350 trainees,” he said.
