As the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, Hon. (Barr.) Philip Okparaji continues the tour of companies operating in the LGA in order to boost the existing relationship and ensure communities in the area benefit more from the companies, he has today charged the management of Indorama Eleme Petrochemical Company Limited to improve on her excellent track record of impacting lives of members of her host communities and Eleme in general.
Speaking when he visited the MD of IEPCL, Mr. Manish Mundra in his office, the Council Chairman commended him and his team for the uncommon transformation of the company considering its past State. He thanked the MD for his focus, integrity, managerial acumen and determination which has led to execution of projects and impact on the host communities, Rivers State and Nigeria.
He urged him not to relent but sustain such tempo and good relationship which has earned the company commendation from reputable institutions including the African Development Bank (ADB).
He further urged him and his team to be transparent in recruitment exercises and other areas her host communities can benefit.
He reminded the MD of the library project which the company and the council had agreed to construct in the LGA.
Responding, the MD, Mr. Manish Mundra who was in company of Indorama’s Human Resource Manager, Pradeep Ekaa, applauded the Chairman for the visit and his effort in restoring peace and security within Eleme and it’s environs. He assured the Chairman that the company will continue to do more for the host communities in areas such as employment, projects execution, scholarships, contracts, skill acquisitions among others.
