Our State is primed to sustain the number one position it achieved last year on immunization in Nigeria.
To maintain that, we flaged-off the second round of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week and National Immunization Plus Days, yesterday at the Primary Health Center, Akpo in Aguata Local Government Area.
We did this in partnership with development partners, including the European Union, UNICEF, RUWASSA; and with support from the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, an NGO run by my caring wife.
The consistency of our administration in health care delivery at primary, secondary and tertiary levels is a result of steadfast commitment and priority attention especially in the care of newborns and children which has earned Anambra State the top honour in immunization.
Thus, our State will continue to implement further health policies that keep her above her counterparts.
Our proactiveness in paying counterpart funding, the establishment of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, ASHIA, and the rejuvenation of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, ASPHCDA are fast-paced policies that would continue to ensure quality, affordable and simultaneous health care delivery for ndi Anambra.
