—Releases Schedule Of Activities
In compliance with the time table released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the November 16 governorship elections in Anambra State the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has pegged its expression of interest form at N2 million for prospective aspirants.
The party also fixed August 3rd for the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party for the approval of guidelines for the elections.
In a statement signed by the APGA National Secretary Dr. Sani Abdulahi Shinkafi on Wednesday in Abuja he said that the National Working Committee (NWC) after its meeting on July 23rd approved the schedule of activities to with, prospective aspirants interested in collecting the expression of interest forms shall pay in Bank Draft a non-refundable fee of N2million in favour of the party and upon completion of the the expression of interest form should be returned to the party’s National Secretariat at 41B Livbreville Cresecent Wuse 11, Abuja.
According to Shinkafi “the sale of expression of interest forms begins from July 29 and will end of August 2nd 2013, sale and return if nomination forms begins on August 6th and ends on August 12th 2013. While the screening of aspirants will hold between August 15th and 16th 2013.
The National Secretary stated that screening appeals will hold on August 17th 2013 while ward congresses for the election of Ad-hoc delegates to the state congress will take place on August 17th 2013. The State Congress (primary election) for the nomination of the party’s candidate for the November 16th governorship elections will hold on August 26th, 2013, while appeals arising from the State Congress will take place on August 28th.
Shinkafi pointed out that the party will submit the name of its candidate to the Independent National Electoral Commission on September 3rd, 2013.
