33,000 Litres Of Illegal Crude Oil Ceased In Rivers

Men of the National Task Force on Illegal, Smuggling of Goods, Light Arms and Ammunition, in Rivers state have arrested a truck loaded with 33,000 litres  of crude oil at  Onne in  Eleme local council  of State .

The Head of operation of the group Mr Chijioke Okoro, told newsmen that his men on surveillance intercepted the truck at the location where it was loading oil at palace road,  Onne and finally arrested them at refinery area of Eleme.

Mr Okoro disclosed that the content in the truck was over N 2.8 million.

He warned that his men will continue to clampdown on illegal bunkery activities and advised the youths to desist from it.

However, as at the time of filing this report the truck has been taken to a destruction site along Eleme Road for destruction.
