A group of clergies, Concerned Clergies for Good Governance (CCGC), has warned that failure by Nigerians to return President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 would be an invitation to national crises of great proportions.
Addressing a press conference at the NUJ Press Centre, Yenagoa, CCGC, National President, Lawrence Okorie, urged the people to listen to God’s warning and support Jonathan’s re-election next year.
He said that the president also has a duty to offer himself for second term in office, as he would be flouting prophecies on his presidential victory.
“I have attempted as a prophet of God three consecutives times to deliver these warnings of national crises, political instability and disintegration of our nation in three separate letters to the President, but none of these letters received attention”, Okorie, who was flanked by Benson Kojo Sikpi and Princewill Nwanodi, among other officials, said.
“I stand firmly, as a prophet of God and leader of this formidable association, to hereby openly appeal to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to save Nigeria from total anarchy by coming out to offer himself for re-election in 2015.
“I also call on Nigerians to please stick to God’s choice by massively supporting President Jonathan and his transformation agenda”, he added.
