Parents of students schooling at Federal Science Technical College, Yaba (FSTC) have accused the school management of increasing the school PTA levy from #5,000 to #120,000.
It will be recalled that in 2016, the Federal Government banned the collection of development levies by Parent- Teacher Associations in the 104 unity colleges across the country.
The parents also lamented that the school management also made the PTA levy a prerequisite for registration and compelled the students to bring 2rims of A4 paper of 80grams before they can be screened.
This is saddening as no nation can progress with this level of corruption perpetrated by people saddled with leadership responsibilities.
We hereby call on relevant authorities to intervene so that our children can go back to school.
