ASUU UniLag crisis deepens, branch blasts aggrieved members

The crack on the walls of the University of Lagos Branch of ASUU grew wider on Tuesday as the chairman of the union, Oghenekaro Ogbinaka, accused members of the union who facilitated the ultimatum issued to the National leadership of the union as working against the larger interest of members.

Ogbinaka accused the aggrieved members of ASUU who issued the ultimatum as being driven by personal interests, saying that they should desist from the action.

The embattled ASUU chairman who issued a statement in Lagos on Tuesday stated that the actions of the lecturers who issued the ultimatum were illegal.

He urged the members of the union to remain resolute in the course they were pursuing.
