Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State chapter, predicted on Sunday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would not survive beyond 2015 given the mass movements of its key members to PDP.
In a congratulatory message to a former Presidential candidate of the now rested Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nuhu Ribadu, Lagos State Chairman of the PDP, Tunji Shelle, said the veil of deceit used to blind the eyes of the APC members has been lifted and they have seen the light.
Ribadu was reported on Sunday to have defected to the PDP in his Yola South Local Government area of Adamawa State.
Shelle said Ribadu has made “a very wise decision by transmitting from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, which the PDP represents”.
Listing key heavyweights of APC who have recently joined the PDP like Ali Modu Sheriff, Femi Fani- Kayode, and several lawmakers, Shelle said Nigerians should expect more defections from APC to PDP in the days ahead.
“It is a just a question of time and I tell you APC will grind to a halt. They started with fanfare but we know they can never last because everybody that came together to form the party are strange bedfellows.
