It was another victory for the Joint Task Force, JTF, in Borno State at the weekend killed 56 Boko Haram terrorists in a forest, 21 kilometres to Bama town.
The JTF soldiers got intelligence report that the Boko Haram terrorists were setting up a camp in the forest and had to storm the area.
Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade told newsmen that the military carried out air and ground offensive on the terrorists.
Asked whether civilians were affected by the attacks, the Defence Spokesman stated that the military did not expect civilians in the depth of the forest.
Also, the Multi-National Task Force, MTF, foiled an attempt by the Boko Haram to set up a camp in an Island on the Lake Chad.
In another development Boko Haram terrorists killed twelve persons when they when they stormed a bachelors eve in Tashan Alade Village.
