Boko Haram kills eight in Borno

Boko Haram resort to soft targets continued at the weekend, when their militants dressed in military uniform murdered eight persons at the Logomani Vilage in Dikwa LGA of Borno State.

The Boko Haram terrorists left several other critically wounded with gunshot injuries.

It was learnt that violent attack on the unarmed persons started at about 6am along the Maiduguri-Dikwa road. The killings have displaced several villagers.

Local sources said that soldiers later dislodged the killers after they operated for close to three hours. The death toll is expected to rise as most of the people who sustained serious bullet wounds may not survive.

Another unconfirmed attack by Boko Haram insurgents was said to have been foiled by the military near Benishik Village along the Kano-Maiduguri road Saturday evening.
