An elder stateman, who is also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Garba Maishinkafa, has called on Kano State Governor Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to vie for the office of president of the country in 2015 in order to bring peace, unity and development to Nigeria.
The elder statesman, who is also a traditional title holder of Yariman Kunchi in Kano state, described Kwankwaso as President Nigerians would wish to have.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Maishinkafa said Kwankwaso’s administration had achieved significant feat in Kano state.
He said part of his achievement was the construction of rural and urban roads as well as modern fly-over within the state metropolis.
The elder stateman also said the award of scholarships to indigent Kano students to study various professional courses at home and abroad was not only commendable but innovative.
He said, “It’s a right step in the right direction to develop the potentials of young ones which will enhance human development for the future progress and development of the state.
“It is my sincere belief that great people with great vision are always visible wherever they are. Your good governance and actions have helped towards achieving development. The people of Kano state will testify to your wonderful and positive thinking as a visionary leader.”
