“We are passionate about giving our best in everything that we do. The facilities on ground here are almost of Olympic standard.

We also feel that if Nigeria must make hay in wrestling that  we must organize tournaments of this kind of quality and that is why we are very excited about using Chief E K Clark’s name”

“We thank him for his generosity for allowing us to use his name because he’s a symbol of unity in this country and he  is somebody, who is very passionate about sports and that is also why we decided to use his name .

“Chief E K Clark Open Wrestling Championship has been instituted and there will be many more editions of this Championship because it has come to stay,” added Amaju, who recalled that Delta has always been a dominant force in wrestling.

“ At the last National Sports Festival in Lagos, Delta won six gold medals. We won four gold medals in Rivers and five gold medals in the Kaduna editions of the Sports Festival.

We have always been dominating, so we want to keep dominating and this is a very solid ground for the discovery of raw talents in wrestling. Our wrestlers are always motivated to do heir best,” he said.
