RESIGN YOUR MINISTERIAL POSITION FOR THE RIVERINE IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT POWER ROTATION, EMEKA WOKE CHALLENGES AMAECHI

Chief of Staff of the Rivers State Government House, Engr. Emeka Woke has called on the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, to immediately resign his appointment as a federal minister based on his insistence that power must rotate in Rivers State.
Engr. Woke made the demand today while addressing a mammoth crowd that included over 5,000 defectors from the APC to the PDP during the voter sensitization campaign held in Emohua.
According to Engr. Woke, it is only when Rotimi Amaechi resigns his appointment for a Riverine to become Minister that he can be taken seriously about his desire for power rotation in Rivers State.
“Let the Minister of Transportation resign his position for the Riverine, along with Senator Andrew Uchendu, representing Rivers East Senatorial District for Okrika or Etche Ethnic Nationality before they can be taken seriously about their desire for power rotation.”
He informed the defectors that the only reason the Minister for Transportation was calling for power rotation was to get Governor Wike out of power and gain access to the treasury of Rivers State for his personal political interest.
The Chief of Staff called on Rivers people to disregard such calls as they were borne out of selfishness not necessarily the best interest of Rivers people and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Wike, who has proven to be a true Rivers man unifying the State beyond party lines.
Also speaking at the event, the Rivers State PDP Chairman welcomed the new members of the PDP and assured them of inclusion in the affairs of the party.
