A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Lagos State, Adegbola Dominic, will on Monday begin a campaign tour of the 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of the state to galvanise support for the party in the 2015 elections.
Dominic said in a statement on Thursday that he would visit party leaders, youths, women and supporters in the 57 local council areas of the state.
He added that the first port of call will be Oshodi- Isolo LGA on August 18, followed by Agege LGA on August 25.
The train will depart for Alimosho LGA on August 28 and later, Ifako- Ijaiye LGA on September 4, he added.
“We are embarking on the visitation to meet with our party leaders and supporters at the grassroots level with a view to intimate them of our plans to contest and what to expect in Adegbola Dominic’s governorship.
“We also want to use the tour to inform the general public that the days of APC as the ruling party in Lagos State is numbered. Lagosians are tired of their elitist policies that is making a few richer while the majority are getting poorer.
“That is what the PDP through Adegbola Dominic wants to address. But we cannot do it without the people’s support,” the statement said.
