Bayelsa Governor Donates Office Space To Nigeria Prays

The Governor of Bayelsa State, the Honorable Henry Seriake Dickson has donated an office space in the ultra- modern 10,000-Seater Ecumenical Centre in Yenagoa to Nigeria Prays (NP).
The Governor in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Francis Ottah Agbo said, the donation is the state’s token of support to the propagation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ by the group.
While describing Nigeria Prays as a veritable platform for spiritual purification, Governor Dickson said, the Chairman of the NP and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon is  God’s vessel for the unification of Nigeria.
While  handing over the key of the office to Gowon at the main bowl of the Ecumenical Centre, the Governor promised  to support the holding of the annual conference of Nigeria Prays at the Ecumenical Centre.
He said the conference will provide an opportunity for all men of God to assemble in Bayelsa State to praise the Almighty God, adding that, by so doing, the Church would continue to protect and project the body of Christ.
The Governor said; “This is God’s house. Today we are here not only to honour God, but to honour you for being a vessel of the unification of this country. You have been leading Nigeria Prays for many years and you are not tired, because  of your love for God and country.                 The government and good people of Bayelsa State have decided to donate an office space in the Ecumenical Centre to Nigeria Prays.           “The Government will support an annual conference of Nigeria Prays here in the Ecumenical Centre in Yenagoa, so that all men of God across Nigeria will gather here to praise and protect the body of Christ. I call on all well meaning Nigerians to support Nigeria Prays..”
Earlier,  General Gowon thanked the Governor for building the Ecumenical Centre, which he described as the best in the continent.
He prayed for the Governor, Government and people of the state, stressing that, he never knew that the Government would deliver on the project in record time.
“The last time I was here was in August this year when I had the privilege of commissioning the Governor’s Office Complex and the Ijaw National Academy. I was amazed that by November, this magnificent centre has been completed, to God be the glory…”  Gowon noted.
Aside Nigeria Prays, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) was recently offered an office space  in the Ecumenical Centre which now serves as its secretariat.
