Who is the Presidency?

By Chibi Amara

Suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) , Mr Babachir Lawal summed up the worries of Nigerians in his remark: who is the Presidency?”

Lawal as a key member of the Buhari administration should know the workings of this failed government. Therefore, if Lawal berates the Presidency within the preccints of the Presidential Villa, he knows what he is saying.

Who is the Presidency? Simply put: There is no President. There is no leader of government and there is a total collapse of the process of government.

Who is the Presidency? Simply put: A cabal has snatched the keys of the administration and as long as you play ball, you will be safe.

Who is the Presidency? Simply put: propaganda runs the system, primed with lies and the protection of corrupt top government officials through the manipulation of anti-corruption agencies with a view to denying Nigerians dividends of good governance.

Who is the Presidency? Simply put: Nigeria’s financial resources for the last two years have been hijacked, while the sponsors of the administration line their pockets with money.

If after two years in office, the suspended SGF declares that there is no leader at the Presidency, we can only but weep. Buhari has disappeared from public view. The ‘Presidency ‘ only brought him back to intensify their rape of our commonwealth.

Babachir Lawal’ s declaration reveals the futility of electing a political conman with no capacity. Nigeria is now a ship without a captain. A country whose President has been caged.

Nigeria is now a country ruled by Press Statements. Even Lawal was shocked that ‘Presidency ‘ could issue a statement without him knowing about it.

In this government where corruption is a propaganda tool to deny people development, the question is apt, who is the Presidency?
