… obviously not in Rivers State.

Laughable! It is very wrong to say Goodluck Jonathan unleashed Nyesom Wike on Rivers State. Rivers people in protest to the ungodly reigns of Rotimi Amaechi came out enmasse and chose a new Governor, one they had so much trust and belief in, one they were ready do die for, one they stood for against all odds. Thank God Wike has never disappointed us. We the people of Rivers State chose Wike. Patience as a proud daughter of Rivers State stood for Wike and she has ever been happy she did.
George Kerley my brother is very educated and well exposed. It is therefore confusing that he would throw such tantrums without facts. I want to ask, what informs George Kerley’s assertion that Wike has failed Rivers State?
Never in the history of Rivers State have we had it so good. If not for Nyesom Wike, I wonder where we would have been as a state. It is Wike who has turned Rivers State to the busiest construction site in Nigeria, despite our dwindling fortunes. Today we are witnessing a robust and very rapid infrastructural revolution. He practically strikes water out of rock. It is Wike who has managed our little resources so well, that with little, we achieve so much. So where has Wike gone wrong?
I represent a constituency in the Rivers Sate House Assembly and just in my consituency, which happens to be George Kelly’s we have 3 masive projects going on. In fact George Kelly himself was there at the flag-off of the Abalama reclamation project, which is now alomst completed, and even made a release commending the Governor, so how has Wike failed Rivers State?
I work closely with Wike and I can say his passion to develop Rivers State is contagious. Rather than throw money around to please people and buy favours as it was in the past, he is committed to channel our little resources to use in a manner that will benefit the common man on the streets. Is that where he has gone wrong?
We must not be blinded by the burden of the promise.
No one who has been in Rivers State and has seen all that has happenend will talk in that manner. So, where has GK been.
