Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has expressed sadness over the death of His Royal Highness, Eze Ambrose Adele, Nyenweli Oropotoma, the Eze Orsuije III of Oropotoma.
Governor Wike who paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased on Sunday, said he was shocked when he received the news of the death of the traditional ruler.
He described the late Traditional Ruler as a credible leader who believed in the development of the state.
The governor said that he was in contact with the deceased family when he was receiving treatment. He said he got information that the traditional ruler was improving, only to hear of his sudden death.
He told the family that he would actively participate in the burial of the traditional ruler.
While praying for the repose of the late traditional ruler, Governor Wike urged the family to place their faith in God in their trying time.
Responding on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Prince Ezebunwo Adele thanked the governor for supporting the family at their moment of grief.
The Governor later signed the condolence register. He was accompanied on the condolence visit by Senator George Sekibo and members of the State Executive Council.
