TRADITIONAL RULER MURDERED BY HIS SUBJECTS IN ENUGU STATE.

 HRH Igwe Steven Nwatu the traditional ruler of Ogboshinne autonomous community in Akpugo, Nkanu west LGA of Enugu State, was yesterday the 12th of June around 9 am murdered by his subjects.
Report has it that trouble started when the Igwe tried to prevent his subjects from going to hold a meeting he didn’t approve of, when the subjects insisted on carrying on with the meeting and were heading towards the venue of the meeting he (Igwe) ordered his driver to hit an elderly man who was among those on their way to the meeting venue with his car.
The action got his subjects infuriated causing them to drag the traditional ruler out of the car, tore his royal robes and pummeled him thoroughly with clubs and machetes.
The traditional ruler was reported to have died later in the evening at the Park lane specialist hospital Enugu.
