Nigerians, on social media have reacted to the news of President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical visit to the UK, which was announced last Monday.
On his Twitter handle, Buhari said; “I will be traveling to the United Kingdom tomorrow, to see my doctor, at his request. Will be away for four days; back in Abuja on Saturday, May 12“.
The reactions range from anger that the President was travelling again, to the inability of his administration to fix the health sector and the call for disclosure of his ailment.
Asuquo Jnr tweets, “It’s now Nigeria serving you and not you serving Nigeria, you don’t need to tell us, do we even have a president?
ChrissieSpark in a tweet said, “For the sake of transparency and accountability which you and your party stands for, can you at least tell Nigerians the nature of your unending sickness and the amount of taxpayers money spent so far on this sickness of yours? Thanks”.
El-gigdinho also tweets, “Should we expect more attacks from your boys fulani herdsmen?”
Robinson Mugisa tweeted, “Don’t you have hospitals and Specialist Doctors in Nigeria?, Is this worth tweet Mr. President? No wonder you betrayed Africa by not joining Africa Continental free trade Area. Where is the love of Africa and Nigeria, if the strongest economy in Africa has no good a health sector?”
