Okowa Hails Funkekeme Solomon At 57

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated immediate past Director-General of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon as he turns 57 years on Sunday April 21, 2019.
Okowa in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Aniagwu in Asaba on Saturday extolled the leadership acumen and dexterity of the Burutu born political tactician, noting that his outstanding leadership of the Campaign Council contributed immensely to the resounding victory of the party in the just concluded general elections in the state.
Okowa eulogised Funkekeme, a former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and one time Commissioner for Works, stressing that the great politician has brought his wealth of experience to bear on the Campaign Council in the state.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I felicitate with an illustrious son of Delta State, the Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, a man in whom we are all proud of on the occasion of his 57th birthday anniversary.
“As Director General of our Campaign Council in the just concluded general elections, our party had one of the best outings winning in 23 out of 25 local government areas in the state.
It also said Governor Okowa rejoices with family members, friends, and political associates of Funkekeme Solomon on the auspicious milestone, ”which is further brightened with the many successes recorded at the recently concluded polls by his strong leadership”.
“The Governor believes the best years of the PDP Leader are still ahead, praying that the Almighty God will grant him long life, good health and more wisdom to keep serving the state and country he loves so much,” the statement said.
