The National Union of Petroleum and Natural gas workers says it has suspended two notices of strike following the intervention of the Rivers state government and the federal house of representatives directives to the nigerian content development and monitoring board
Briefing newsmen in Abuja on tuesday said the twenty one and seven day notices were issued on june 2 and June 29 2018 respectively
The notices of strike were issued over the sack of 89  OES DEEP sea oil campany workers and the failure of national association of road transport owners to fully implement the collective bargaining agreement signed with tanker drivers on product lifting among others
NUPENG however said workers may downtools in Akwa ibom state
While commiserating with victims of Lagos and Niger states Tankers explosion, NUPENG president want government to address issues of bad roads to avert future road crashes
