– The SWAMP ELEPHANT bows out with style.
Just like yesterday, 3 months have raced away, but with little time, I achieved by God’s grace what will be in the hearts of these people till the season 2 comes up next year.
When I was drafted to be the caretaker supervisor of Youths and sports PHALGA; from day one I told myself, the people must feel your impact regardless of how little the time was. And I went to the grassroot to enquire what I could do. One boy came to me and said “I have told many past supervisors to just host a tournament and they said when the incumbent supervisor comes he will host, our time is short”. He gave me the blueprint and It was a massive project; and I told him let’s get to work to his surprise. PHALGA PEACE UNITY TOURNAMENT!
Yes it took a lot of my time and resources, a one month event but it finished well and yes I’m proud of myself and can point to my 3 months and say YES NIGERIA CAN WORK AGAIN, IF THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE THERE. Two talents were taken by a coach that came to watch, even the singers were not left out as I saw unity even between two cult groups who we drafted to play against each other as they embraced peace……………….
I thank Gov Nyesome Wike for giving me my first political appointment; I thank my beloved brother and friend and like I call him boss of all bosses Marshal Obuzor who made this appointment possible with his colleague the brilliant Oraye St. Franklyn. I also thank my fellow supervisors (great lovely sweet team); I thank friends and families here on facebook; you guys have been brilliant. THANKS
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES AS YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THE LAST OF THE SWAMP ELEPHANT…………….. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL IT IS DONE. I CAME I SAW; AND I CONQUERED THE CONQUERORS.
More pictures still to come……
