IBIM SEMENITARI, ASK YOUR FATHER GTG TOBY WHAT DAKUKU DID TO HIM IN 1998

A socio political group in Opobo town, Kiparima Unity Forum has called on acting NDDC MD, Mrs Ibim Semenitari (nee Toby) to be watchful and very careful while dealing with defeated APC guber candidate, Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside.
Rising from an emergency meeting held in a school in the Woji area of Port Harcourt yesterday, the group resolved to send a BE CAREFUL LETTER to their daughter Ibim, even as they called on her to ask her father how Dakuku nearly robbed him of becoming 2-term deputy governor.
Our source informed us that during his opening remarks, the chairman of the forum Senibo K. T. Stewart told the members that the emergency meeting was called so they could rally round their daughter Ibim in the face of the cold war between her and Dakuku over clandestine positioning schemes for the APC guber ticket of 2019.
Senibo Stewart recalled how Dakuku Peterside and a former member of the RSHA from Opobo used fictitious names to write several petitions to the then Rivers PDP chairman, late Marshal Harry, to disqualify Ibim’s father, Sir Gabriel Toby as the running mate to former governor Peter Odili in 1998.
He reminded them that it took the insistence of Dr Odili to stick with Sir Gabriel Toby. He recalled how Dakuku and his ally went as far as using the name of an Anglican priest to write one such wicked petition to the late Marshal Harry – all geared towards disqualifying their son and father of Ibim.
He recalled also that Dakuku did all that just because he wanted Dr Sam Sam Jaja his pal and co-founder of their group Opobo National Vanguards, to be picked as running mate to Odili.
He recalled that when that did not work with Odili, they took their devilish act of imposing Dr Sam Sam Jaja to the doors of Rivers state Accountant General by shemeing to remove the incumbent then, Mr Senior Accra Jaja.
Mr Senior Accra Jaja he said, fought back vigorously and the issue had to be resolved by the Amanyanabo of Opobo, King Dandeson Jaja in consultation with then governor Odili back in 1999 who asked all to maintaine status quo.
Senibo Stewart wondered why 18 years later, Dakuku has not repented from his art of writing malicious protest letters and wondered what he had against the Toby’s in particular and the Kiparima Community in general.
A female member of the Kiparima forum said she was reliably informed that in order to deem the rising popularity of their daughter Ibim in Opobo town, Dakuku Peterside cajoled his Peterside family members to bring forward the burial date of late Chief Dr M.C.A. Peterside to coincide with that of late Professor Datubo Brown, an inlaw to Sir Gabriel Toby, forcing both high profile burials to take place same day. This led to most dignitaries not attending the burial of interest to the Toby family.
Meanwhile, during his closing remarks, secretary of the forum Warisenibo Gogo Toby warned that Mrs Semenitari should not take the Dakuku threat softly, saying that what Dakuku could not achieve in 1998, he wants to achieve in 2019.
While moving for adjournment, he said the letter should remind Mrs Semenitari of the Ibani proverb that says “A child who fails to ask what killed the father, may be killed by that same thing”.
It should be recalled that after losing to Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike at the supreme court and due to the rising popularity of Mrs Semenitari, several unprintable things has been done by Dr Dakuku Peterside to ensure Mrs Semenitari does not pick the 2019 APC guber ticket.
Meanwhile Mrs Semenitari is doing all she can with the support of transportation minister Rotimi Amaechi to remain buoyant knowing that Dakuku does not have the required finance to stay relevant in APC till 2019. She even visited governor Wike this week.
