After the historic appointment and swearing in of Hon Justice Adam Onum as the first  Benue State Chief Judge of Idoma extraction on Monday, 18th December 2017, another milestone was achieved today as Governor Samuel Ortom, again, sworn in the first state female Head of Service, 42 years after the creation of the state.
Mrs Veronica Ogodo Onyeke was sworn into office in a colourful ceremony held at the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue People’s House, Makurdi.. She took over from Engr George Edeh, who retired from the Benue State Civil service after 35 years of meritorious service to the state and country. Until her appointment, the new Head of Service was the Permanent Secretary, Office of the State Deputy Governor.
