Gov-Elect Jide Sanwoolu: The Puppet of Puppets

Didn’t get to speak much about the Lagos gubernatorial race but let me quickly put my thoughts on Gov-Elect Jide Sanwoolu down for posterity:
I said Ambode was going to be a puppet and he was; Sanwoolu will be the puppet of puppets – his strings will be pulled by many people.
From the HOA to Lagos contractors and entrenched party interests, Sanwoolu will be pushed and pulled, here and there.
The Bourdillon canal chose him deliberately for his ability to be pliable to their collective interest, not only to Bola ‘Jagabank’ Tinubu.
His cabinet will be filled with the strangest bedfellows and the most anonymous commissioners ever in the history of Lagos state – every single one will be chosen for him by some entrenched interest related to Bourdillon.
He will only be Governor in title, not in reality.
The sweet part is that he will not once attempt to revolt or even attempt an attempt to revolt – he will be meek, he will bend over and he will do anything to make the cabal happy in the hope of getting a second term.
And he still won’t get it – another puppet is lined up.
The incoming Governor of Lagos will be beholden also to NURTW – one of them is already his personal enforcer and right hand man.
Unlike the incumbent though, he won’t be arrogant or covetous of the wives of others.
If he attempts to mess up, his file is with all his masters.
Lagos will suffer though, but not much.
Lagos is run by the streets and suits – the energies of the street and corporate hustlers will keep the state going at least until 2023 when hopefully the opposition will have got its acts together and stop feeding from Bourdillon.
This is even putting it mildly by Ademola Olarewaju.
