*Ekiti 2018 : Ekiti will Resist any Form of Intimidation,Harassment – EGM

Ekiti Grassroots Movement has called on Federal government to abstain from antics to intimidate and gag electorates with military vices during the forthcoming governorship election slated for 14 July, 2018, saying both domestic and  international observers are interested in the conduct of the election.
The acting coordinator of the group, Mr. Iroyinayo, while addressing members of the group during PDP familiarisation tour at Omuo, yesterday, said the entire country is aware of the military orchestrations and other unguided plans of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ekiti to subvert Justice, fairness, and equity during the July election.
“It has never happened in the history of Nigeria for a governorship candidate of any party to stay away from the people he intends to govern”
“How can Dr. Fayemi be campaigning in Abuja and want to rule Ekiti people if there is no shady plan to rig elections to his favour?
“Nigerians are also aware of the impunity under APC government. In the days of PDP, candidates resigned their political appointments to further prepare for their aspirations, but in the case of APC, the reverse is the case”
Speaking, he called on good people of Ekiti to be watchful, steadfast and be vigilant to resist APC and its plans to override their choices and impose  Dr. Kayode Fayemi on them”
“Nigerians were aware of the undemocratic and the broad-day light electoral robbery in Kogi, Edo and Ondo states respectively. It is instructive to stand for what we believe in”
Commenting on the achievements of Governor Fayose, he said only the blind will not appreciate the developmental plans of the incumbent government. ” The gigantic flyover bridge, robust achievement in education sector, and other infrastructural projects of Fayose’s government will serve as reference point to other states”.
“It is time to reciprocate the kind gestures by voting massively for Prof. Kolapo Olusola to allow the good work of the current government continue “, he said
