So yesterday my father the Reverend Ahimaaz Zadok was consecrated as Bishop but it was a sojourn that began in 1984 when he was called into full time ministry.
My dad had served with different ministries. Started pastoring with Redeemed People’s Mission, Yola, first as an assistant pastor and eventually rose to the rank of District Superintendent. Followed by Goodnews Church Wulari Jerusalem in Maiduguri, Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria(LCCN). Pioneer missionary work in Bukuru and Forom in Plataeu state. Kingdom of God Bible Church.
In 2002 he secured a teaching appointment with the FCTA as Education officer II, taking Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and rose to the rank of Principal Education officer and retired in January 17, 2015 when he turned 60 having reached the stipulated retirement age.
He retired but was not tired so he took a 2 year contractual appointment at LCCN Bible College Dashen in Adamawa state as the Vice Principal Admin.
When his contract was over in 2017, he settled in Jalingo and continued his missions work and evangelism until the college of Bishops, working through Bishop Ibekwe Simeon nominated him as Bishop elect.
My dad is a wonderful teacher of the word of God. He is exceptionally funny and down to earth. A lover of God and people.
Today I celebrate a general in the Kingdom of God doing exploits and getting a crown not only in glory but right here on earth. May God grant you the grace for the next phase ahead.
