The real problem in Kemi Adeosun’s NYSC scandal isn’t that she didn’t serve the nation she feeds fat from; it is that she FORGED an NYSC exemption certificate. Forgery is a CRIMINAL offence in Nigeria. Anyone can explain away her not participating in the NYSC scheme, but no one with even the slightest pretense to moral scruples can defend her forgery.
But the Buhari government has shown itself to be a government of criminal forgers. Remember that the Chairman of the Special Presidential Investigative Panel for the Recovery of Property by the name of Okoi Obono-Obla has also conclusively been found to have forged his secondary school certificate to gain admission to study law at the University of Jos.
More than one month after the West African Examination Council (WAEC) OFFICIALLY told the House of Representatives that Obono-Obla’s school certificate was a forgery, the scammer still retains his job. One of the arrow-heads of the government’s “anti-corruption” campaign is himself a corrupt forger. That tells you something.
Of course, Buhari himself has not been able to produce his own school certificate, which strips him of the moral standing to fire anyone on account of certificate forgery.
