Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has again lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for his administration’s mishandling of the fight against corruption.
He said, “I would make sure people in charge of anti-corruption institutions are people of integrity. There is no point in fighting corruption beyond you and you have corruption on your nose”.
Obasanjo made this disclosure in an interview with Germany’s International broadcaster ‘Deutsche Welle’. He stated that Buhari’s anti-corruption fight has been polluted by people in his inner circle being smeared in corruption allegations themselves.
The former two-term president further stated that Buhari could do better in how he goes about the war that has been one of the centrepieces of his administration.
