Suswam recycles sacked commissioners

After months of apprehension, Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam has re-appointed majority of the commissioners who served in his dissolved executive council.

The Governor has already submitted the names of the commissioner to the house of Assembly for screening and ratification with 11 members of the old cabinet making a come back.

They include: John Ngbede, former Commissioner for Water Resources, Conrad Wergba, Commissioner for Information, Eugene Aliegba, Works/ Housing, Aondowase Chia, Youths/Sports, Orduen Abunku, Health,  and Mrs. Comfort Ajene, Culture/ Tourism.

Others are:  Omadachi Oklobia, Finance, Elizabeth Allagh, Women Affairs, Terfa Atoza Ihindan, Commerce/Industries, John Tondu, Lands/Survey, Elizabeth Ugoh, Education.

It remains unclear why Governor Gabriel Suswam dissolved the council in the first place.

Critics in the state accuse the governor of lacking politcal will, which has led to non performing commissioners being recycled.
