The chairman Rochas Foundation and Governor of lmo state on behalf of his foundation donated N10 million to Benue Flood Victims today after undertaken an assessment tour of the Internally Displaced Persons, lDP, camp at the International market where he hailed Governor Samuel Ortom for the high standard of the camp.
Okorocha who said he was touched by the number of people displaced especially women and children maintained that Benue was part of federal government of Nigeria and therefore, would not be left alone to bear such pain.
He recalled that the state was yet to fully recover from the destructive attack of herdsmen and now faced with the ravaging effect of flood, appreciating governor Ortom for his demonstration of capacity in handling the situation.
Governor Okorocha who doubles as the chairman of the progressive governors and accompanied by his Kebi state counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu assured the Government and people of Benue state that the 24 APC governors will come back to the state at a later date to make a comprehensive presentation to the affected persons.
Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, thanked his colleagues for their show of love and concern and assured them that all donations would be judiciously administered to the benefit of all concerned.
