Former SSS Director Begs FG, Military to Stop Operation Python Dance

The former Director of the State Security Service (SSS), Mr Mike Ejiofor has called on the Federal Government and the military to put a stop to the military operation set up in the South East and code-named Operation Python Dance.

Ejiofor, speaking on Channels Television Breakfast Programme, Sunrise Daily, expressed worry over the consequence of the military operation saying, it may lead the country into serious national trouble.

“It is a very worrying and disturbing situation. Operation Python dance has a grave consequence to our national security. My fears are that, if these situations are not checked now, it can conflagrate into a more serious national security situation.

“The military, I appeal, I am not giving an order must withdraw in the interest of peace. In the interest of peace, that dance of the military must stop.

“That dance is not necessary, it is uncalled for and I am using this opportunity to appeal to the military authorities and the Federal Government to stop that dance. That dance is not necessary,” he said.

Ejiofor expressed more worries at the code-name of the operation emphasising that a python is a dangerous animal and naming a military operation after such is not conciliatory.

He said, “Let’s look at it, Operation Python Dance, what is a python? A Python looks at its victim, suffocates the victim before it swallows it. That is not conciliatory at all.

“At this stage of our national life when we have a lot of security challenge, we should try and see how we can solve some of the problems instead of adding more to our problems.”

The military started Operation Python Dance, last year in the South East with the aim of ridding the region of criminals and other activities threatening the security of the area.

Last week, it announced plans for another second phase of the operation and code-named it Operation Python Dance II. However, this military operation in the region has given members of the public, including the Ohanaeze a cause for concern.

The security consultant, Ejiofor also expressed disagreement with the decision of the Nigerian army to take over Nnamdi Kanu’s residence in Abia State and appealed to the Nigerian army to let peace reign in the country.

He said, “The army, going to confront Kanu with his group is going to throw us into serious problems. I witnessed the civil war, no country survives a second civil war. We must do everything to avoid this

Carrying out Military exercises in civilian neighborhoods is unconventional. The world will take it that the Nigerian Military is turning its guns on its defenseless citizens. They will not say anything now but when news of heavy casualties of civilians spreads, the world will not keep quite.

Military campaign is ongoing in six geo-political zones, so don’t get emotional over a Python dancing.

NORTH EAST :- Operation Gama Aiki which is a multi-national operation with troops from the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) member states. This together with Operation Crackdown is an operation within operation aimed to mop up Boko Terrorists in the North East.”

NORTH CENTRAL :- has Operation Safe Haven stationed in Plateau State with area of operation extending to Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa and Kwara States to quell ethno-religious conflicts and other criminal activities.

NORTH WEST :- Operation Sara Daji and Operation Harbin Kunama ( Scorpion) in the North West, established to battle the criminal activities of armed bandits, cattle rustlers and robbers operating particularly in Zamfara, Kaduna and fringes of Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina and Kano states.

SOUTH SOUTH :- the Navy has a major operation codenamed Operation Delta Safe which was formerly Operation Pulo Shield. While Nigerian Army’s Operation Crocodile Smile, and Navy’s Operation Tsera Teku. These operations are all aimed at crushing the resurgent Niger Delta militancy and other acts of criminality like oil theft, vandalism, and bunkering in the region.

SOUTH WEST:- , there is Operation Awase with a mandate to contain the criminal operations around Ogun-Lagos axis, particularly in Arepo where illegal oil bunkering and pipeline vandalism are regular occurrences.

SOUTH EAST :- Operation Iron Fence to combat armed robbers, hooligans and kidnappers. Then a new Operation Python Dance to sustain the previous operation.

Finally, Operation Mesa ( LION) , which is a Joint Task Force (JTF) operation against all forms of criminal activities in all the states of the federation.

This is For All these Educated Retards That Justify The Military Invasion Of SouthEast. Your education is the worst decision your parents or guardians ever made. You stay on various social media outfit and justify the command given the fickle Nigerian army to “crush” civil agitation? Your education shouldn’t have happened! Just about 2 years ago, a section of the Turkish military embarked on a coup d’etat and regime change. Do you know who stopped the soldiers? CIVILLIANS! The Turkish people stopped their military. But the best part is that the military, with their tanks and automatic rifles REFUSED TO ENGAGE their civillians even at the risk of being mobbed. We saw videos of unarmed civillians beating armed soldiers. The Soldiers did not start shooting them. Listen, it was a Coup where you either kill or be killed. The consequence of a failed coup is usually known. No Turkish intellectual justified, for whatever reason, the military invasion of their civillian space. Infact, President Erdogan survived by rallying the civillian populace via Facetime. Here, we have grammar-writing retards justify the “show of might” by a ragtag Nigerian military. A military with fickle command. A military that retreats in fear in Borno but whose hormones run wild in Aba. For whatever reason, it is insulting to Nigerian Army to roll out tanks against a section of the country whose sin is agreeing differently in a non-violent way! Huh!

ME: In effect, there are military operations in EVERY part of Nigeria, so I don’t get the whining over python dance, the magnitude, the ethnic/religious tension, criminality, secessionists anti-constitutional activities, other security challenges bearing in mind the peculiarity of our people and country so demands.

They arranged a bail for him with conditions. He spurned all the conditions and dared the government. Ohaneze did not say anything, Abia state government did not say anything, South East governors did not say anything. All the abroadians and “intellectuals” who live in Abuja, PH, Lagos, etc did not say anything.

As soon as he threatened the upcoming Anambra elections, Ohaneze said something. Anambra state government said something. South East governors said something. Because a pot of soup had been threatened. They even called him to a meeting. But he maintained his cocky stand.

He turned around in a bid to continue to be in the news, decided to launch a Security Service. Asked his supporters to burn down the country; Ohaneze, Abia state, south east governors did not say anything. If anything at all, they aided him as according to them he was expressing his rights.

Before now, the veepee called everyone to a meeting. Good man, he tried to approach the matter with gumption. You expected some caution from the other side. No! They made the veepee look stupid. Kanu continued his PDP and Igbo elite sponsored defiance. Kanu did not only carry on with his haughtiness, he disgraced the police everywhere he went.

Then the military steps in, Ohaneze begins to lecture me on Human Rights? Abia state begins to speak up. All in Support of Kanu and IPOB. Nevertheless, the federal government must realize that PDP/IPOB does not own Igboland and as such cannot determine where it’s allegiance lie.

Let all processes (legal) be taken to protect the integrity of the country as there is no country called Biafra. And Nigerians living in Igboland need to be protected by the Nigerian state, now. The country should no longer tolerate megaphones who seize the destiny of part of the country on a warped agenda called political/secessionist agitation.

The Sad Story of the Puppeteer and the Puppet
It is so sad that President Buhari has allowed himself to be controlled like a puppet being pulled by Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu seems to know so well how Buhari would react to every step he takes. So Kanu taunts Buhari like a woman taunts her husband by calling him “Useless man” and telling him to do his worst and see hell. So the foolish husband loses his cool and beats the wife blue black. The wife shouts that he has killed her, takes pictures and videos of her swollen face and battered body and sends them out. The man is called a beast by the public and maybe gets arrested by the police.
When it seems that attention on him is reducing, Kanu says or does one thing to work Buhari up. He gathered some men together and announced that he had formed the Biafran Secret Service: a group that does not have even pepper spray. He boasted that nobody would dare to arrest him. He said that the person that came back from London was not Buhari but someone else.
Given how the mind of Buhari works, Kanu knows that Buhari must react. So Kanu pulls the strings and the puppet reacts the way he wants. That is sad.
Kanu knows that the moment Buhari reacts, there will be videos and pictures and stories for the world. And that gives his cause global publicity and wins him sympathy. Buhari will be seen as the aggressor and oppressor while he is seen as the non-violent victim.
When Buhari returned from his medical trip and gave a speech, I wrote that the speech was written principally for Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. Buhari was telling them that he was back and would deal with them for crossing the “red line”. And true to his word, he swung into action.
Tension has risen in Nigeria over Buhari’s reaction, and what is on the lips of everyone is Kanu, Biafra and IPOB. Rather than be cowed, IPOB and non-IPOB members have become more strengthened. Even moderates are wondering why they should still belong to this Nigeria with such viciousness from the military and the leaders.
Those who have read Mario Puzzo’s The Godfather would see that Buhari reminds one of the impulsive first son of Don Corleone called Santino (Sunny), who would always react as predicted, and was, therefore, considered unfit to to run the Corleone empire.
IPOB must resist the urge to get violent because of the continued killing of their members and the inhuman treatment meted out to them, neither should they resort to attacking Northerners in revenge. Violence will dent their moral standing and also give Buhari a golden opportunity to replicate an Odi or Zaki Biam in Igboland. They must deny him that pleasure. Watching how angrily Buhari reacted during the Al Jazeera interview when the killing of IPOB members was raised, I tend to believe what Fani-Kayode said he told him that “they” cannot forgive the Igbos for the 1966 coup.
Nigeria deserves a president that is deep and tactful, a president that is proactive and not reactive, a president that will read in between the lines and see the result from the beginning, a president that will have practical ways of solving problems and uniting the nation. The Sad Story of the Puppeteer and the Puppet.

Sleeping on bicycle. The deployment of the military is justifiable. Since you have formed BSS and BNG to defend yourselves. Police cannot be used in this case. Force just have to match force. The parade of security outfit under Biafra Lion Guards and Biafra National Guards justified the deployment of soldiers. It is the biggest mistake ever made by your so-calked Nnamdi Kanu ( aka Biafra Jesus). Blame yourselves. It is not a gross human rights violation for so many other reasons. Did the military go to their houses to arrest them. Or to their places of work? They left their houses and work to block the army patrol on the roads with sticks , cutlass and stones. What do you call that? Stupid confrontation! The soldiers are even very considerate. Otherwise, they ought to have open fire on them. In the so-called civilised countries if you are stopped by police you raise up your hands immediately. If you hands down or trying to hide your hands the next thing is that you are fired. Now you see miscreants brandishing sticks and iron rods as guns at soldiers armed with guns. Is that bravery or foolishness? If they threw stones and killed soldiers they will hail themselves abi? They are lucky. If they try this with US army they would have since been given mass burial.

  12. Bello Tajudeen Atanda

They did not come to kill your people. Your people wanted to kill themselves. Did the soldiers go to their houses to kill them. I will address you more on that later. Meanwhile, read this:
NNAMDI KANU HAS GIVEN ME REASONS TO SAY “THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUHARI”

    Written by Akintunde Adeyemo (USA).

You can’t send police officers to quench a quasi-military camp, which is maintained by Nnamdi Kanu, who has aggressively vowed to tear apart a sovereign nation, Nigeria. Kanu made a serious mistake by parading a ragtag army; especially when you have a former General as the president, that was disrespectful.

I lived in Nigeria for more than two decades, Nigerian soldiers don’t like to be disrespected; in fact, from working with soldiers in the United States (Michigan National Guard, Joint Forces Headquarters), I can tell you that, generally, soldiers don’t like to be disrespected.

If someone, a civilian for that matter, maintains and parades militants (wearing a military uniform), he should not expect the government to roll in with police officers and patrol vans; he should reasonably expect army tanks.

Pursuant to the 1949 Geneva Conventions Article 3, your status changes once you start wearing an army uniform, for you have become an enemy combatant: A recognized army (the Nigerian Army, in this case) can use force to neutralize you and your fellow militants.

Let’s gaze into history here: When the 1791 “Whiskey Rebellion” happened in the United States, spearheaded by some civilians, President George Washington did not send in police officers, he brought in military tanks to quench the rebellion.

In the United States, when violence escalates, a governor, pursuant to Title 32 of the United States Code, can summon the army and their tanks to the street (didn’t you watch CNN at the height of the “Black Lives Matter movement;” didn’t you see numerous armoured personnel carrier (APC) on the street)?

Let’s stop pretentiously invoking the violation of the rule of law, especially if you don’t understand the rule of law and the rule of engagement. A military incursion, or rolling of tanks, into a street, in order to clear the illusion of outlaws, like Nnamdi and his cohorts, is not a violation of the rule of law, but an enforcement of the rule of law.

If Kanu is scared of a small deployment of soldiers, will he chicken out when battalions are deployed? To his supporters, we told you this: secession is not won on Facebook. Continue arguing about the violation of the rule. Listen, when hostility begins, the rule of law is suspended or amended. I hope we won’t get there. Start listening.
