COLLEGES OF EDUCATION BEGIN INDEFINITE STRIKE

The president of the colleges of education academic staff union, COEASU, Nuhu Ogirima has directed members in all 47 colleges across the country to begin indefinite strike from monday, october 9, 2018
The COEASU president who gave the directive after its expanded national executive council meeting in Abuja on monday said a warning was issued the same time the organised Labour called a strike over delay in minimum wage implementation
COEASU said among the reasons for the strike is thr delayed, half and nonpayment of salaries especially in states colleges of education
The colleges of education teachers have also acused government of showing preference to the academic staff union of universities, ASUU with the aporoval of over 20 billion naira for infrastructure in universitie
