Former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has expressed eagerness to expose the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during political campaigns to mobilize Nigerian voters against the party in next year’s general elections.
Speaking while commissioning the office of the Atiku Support Group in Yola yesterday, Atiku said the PDP rule has left the country without any meaningful development or sense of direction, urging the electorate to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the elections.
He said from its antecedents in power, it is clear that the ruling party cannot lift the country out of its economic and political problems despite the huge resources at its disposal.
“Nothing good for the country will come out of the PDP anymore, we have not started hitting at the PDP yet, we will hit at them during the election campaigns,” he said.
Lamenting the level of poverty and lack of infrastructure in Adamawa State which he said cannot compare with any state in the country, the former vice president noted the imperative for change of leadership at the federal level for good governance and development.
Atiku said the APC was formed by trusted Nigerians who were fed up with the corruption in the PDP and made a lot of sacrifices to find an alternative platform for Nigerians.
